I finished the Final Evaluation outcome today. I collected some patterns from the 1980s. I made a 12-poster. In it are the lyrics of 1980, the text design. The others are the design of patterns and colors I draw by hand.I think it's visual and interesting. I can show you what I thought of the 1980s.

I made some plans and researches on my final work today. I think the work will be displayed by the design pictures and text design in jiugong or 12 gong. This is more visual and makes interesting illustrations. So I collected some collections and patterns from the previous 1980s. I found a few I like and changed their colors to better match the theme.

I will sort out the previous research and outcome today. I decided to use the form of text and graphic for this project. I will hand-draw some special objects and lyrics of the time by computer. I think it's more visual. I've done a few sketches today, and I'll do more details in the next few days.

Today, I started to think about the new final project. I still decided to do some design for the 1980s. Because this project is visual, I want to focus on text design. And the text with my own understanding of the time of 80s to show you. And I hope that the audience can have a resonance or a new understanding of my work. So that I will do more research to show my ideas. 

I made three digital drawings today. According to the photos taken by research and me, I hand-painted some graphics of the 80s element and the living objects at that time (game consoles, TV watches, etc.). I combined these elements with color design (mainly red, yellow and green) to reflect the retro elements. I combined a total of 20 photos into a film-style album and printed it out. It was printed to look like film. People can open the tape and look at the pictures inside.

I put together a total of 15 photos. The 1980s photographs from Shanghai, China, and London, England.I also have a new design today based on the sketch I drew before. I made a collage of the outcome. This is a model from the time of 80s in China. I divided a photo into three parts (hair, face and body), and showed the fashion of 80s in more details. And combine them with some color (orange, blue and black) shapes. The other is a 1981 calendar that I took and I also collaged it with green, black shapes and a light yellow background.

I'll take the title -- Flim life. Because first of all, the style of this piece is flim. In addition, there are some photos I took in London and Shanghai about the time of 80s, some of which have been photoshopped. So I think the photos can reflect the life state at that time, and I also hope that people who see the work can feel the same feeling in this retro scene of flim.

Since my last feedback, I have written a few reflections on my plan and the process and execution process to contextual pratice. This week I mainly research and find some materials. Due to a project on photography, I went to an exhibition about the time of 80s in Shanghai, where I shot a lot of relevant materials. And I also collected the 80s design clipart elements on the Internet. I did some sketch on ditalsketchbook about elements of the 80s (classic objects, shapes and color collocation) and some photos of elements of research, photography photos of China and Britain of the 80s and photos of flim style. I also tried to put them together in the style of film.I also tried to combine digital sketch with the photos I took. I'll also do more sketch next week. According to the photos of yesterday's exhibition, I have a new idea, so I need more research. I did some research online today. I found some design clipart elements from the 1980s on Pinterest (about some graphic and color combinations) and I wanted to come up with some interesting and visual collage and sketch. Next week I will continue to research and do some digital sketch.

I went to field research today. I went to an exhibition in Shanghai about the memories of the 1980s.There are lots of photos and articles about China in the 1980s. The student's desk, stationery, writing case and so on. Fashion at that time, I learned that Shanghai at that time was also exposed to a lot of western culture. Her clothes were in a flamboyant style, and she liked to use sequins and bright colors. Shanghai in the 1980s was also greatly changed from what it is today.There is also a big gap between the billboards of the time (when color was preferred and the words were bold) and the entertainment devices of the time (computer game cameras) that seem huge and bulky today. There are also great changes in people's living conditions then and now. And a comparison of my work in London in the 1980s also shows the differences in living conditions and aesthetics between China and Britain. I will also combine and make digital drawing.

Today I tried to use digital drawing. I used ai to draw some sketches of the shapes and colors of the 1980s and put them together. I thought it was interesting to make the 80s look and I thought it looked pretty good so I'm going to talk about the combination of my own photos and the shapes later on.

I've arranged the photos of the 80s element that I took in London earlier. I have selected five that can be put into this album. They are all clothes, jewelry, magazines and toys. It reflects the lifestyle and fashion of that time. And I put a retro filter on them. I think we can extract some of their elements from digital drawing after adding them, and I will also try.

Today's tutorial discussed with the teacher about his plan for next couple weeks and his doubts. My plan was to make a photo album of the 80s. So I need to collect photos about the time of 80s. I have taken some photos at vintage market in London before. I am now in Shanghai, so I need to find more memories about the time of 80s in this city. So I decided to do some online research at home this week and do some digital drawing and common sketch. Next week, I will go to field research in Shanghai (there are some exhibitions, vintage shops, etc.) and finally print them in the form of film style. Hopefully it will bring back memories of the time of 80s. My problem is that ordinary film is only 35mm, so the final outcome shown is very small. I hope to find a way to solve the problem of size.

The PPT of making work without making the work gave me new inspiration. I need to make my project more meaningful. Let the audience see can be impressive and even cause resonance. My idea for the new project: I watched some music videos from YouTube and how to make the mv. I want to study how to make and make the elements of 80s into a music video. The second idea was photography 80s. I have taken some photos of elements of 80s (vintage market) in London before, and now I have some vintage shops and exhibitions in Shanghai about 80s. I can combine them to make a photo album about 80s with film style.

Today, I watched music video on YouTube by KUN, a Chinese singer I like very much. His song is a nursery rhyme, and the style of the music video is illustration style. I hope to do similar videos later. I think it's interesting. In his music video, the protagonist is a little boy, and the warm things he meets are illustrated.

Today, I found illustration tutorial on YouTube, which I am very interested in. (T-shirt design) because I have done the project of app design before and there is part of designing T-shirt. But I think I didn't do it well because of my lack of ability. This video is very detailed on how to design t-shirts on ai (hand drawing, coloring, details, etc.) which I think will be helpful in the future artwork.

Julia malkova, a Russian artist in my research today. Many of the photos she shares on instagram are collages. And my favorite method for sketching in sketchbook is collage. So I think his work will have a lot of inspiration for me. His collages are interesting and the scenes are appropriate. Like a collage of a human body and a horse's head.

I did scale after repeated research. I wanted to show a sense of proportion through photography with props (three cardboard boxes and a black hole stone). There are three cardboard boxes (small，middle and large). I made a hole in the middle box. And put the black hole stone at the furthest distance. I want to show you in this way that maybe something that looks big to us might change in a different way, it might be small.

Today I researched some of the art bloggers on instagram. They're showing off their work on instagram. One of my favorites is the Korean artist KangHee Kim. The photographs she shows on her instagram account appear to have been taken by coincidence and are actually photoshopped. It's interesting to convey a sense of freedom. I think it's worth learning from.

I've been interested in making movies and videos lately. Because I hope I can make an interesting video by myself in the future artwork. Music videos from Korean, Chinese and American singers that I like very much before, I think they have a great visual impact. Can immerse me in this. So I searched YouTube for how to make music video. I got some tips on how to make it, and the youtuber explained in words or pictures how to make it. I will also try to do something to make my work more diversified.

I studied fashion boom today. In the YouTube video, the blogger is a fashion designer who presents his ideas as illustrations. He said that this is the fastest way to show his idea, and the way of illustration can also inspire more inspirations (color matching and matching). His works are all princess dresses, which I think is a bit like the princess dresses of Disney, with colorful skirts, and some details of skirts will be drawn. I like his works very much and hope that I can show my ideas in the form of illustration later.

I tried to do shaping today. First I prepared a decorated cup and some cigarettes. My theme is don't ignore them. The materials I prepared were very everyday things. Nothing special. But when they come together I put them together like cannons, like guns. They became weapons that  could hurt people. I think its really interesting.

Today, I made a draft with ai about my idea of outcome. This is a film photographic style. I put up some photos of the 1980s that I had taken before (a show about the 1980s in Shanghai and some clothing for the 1980s at the vintage market in London). I had a preliminary idea, but I didn't think it was enough. I need more ideas to complement and perfect the outcome and make it more interesting.

Today, I continued to do research about the 1980s and film. I am very interested in film and I think we can make a photo album with the style of film and become the final outcome. Both the appearance of vintage is similar to that of the 1980s, and it can be well displayed visually.So I searched on YouTube about film.The style of film and final outcome. I think we need to add a little more of our own design.

I did some research today and had a new plan for the project. I hope to make it into an album. Because I think it's visual and interactive. I did some research (YouTube, Pinterest and Google) to find some 1980s elements and then lifestyle. I designed 6 sketches with ai. I plan to make vintage film that will evoke memories of the 1980s.I tried to piece together some photos and design them into a film collection. The pictures here are all from the exhibition I saw in Shanghai in the 1980s and from the vintage market in brick lane, London, where I looked for clothing tie-ups for the 1980s.In the days to come, I'll be in Shanghai looking for memories and photos of the 1980s.

For the new project, I hope there will be some innovation and more interaction with the audience. I think my interactivity and interest were not outstanding in the previous projects. Because this spring break has 20 days. I think we can carefully do some preliminary research and idea thinking and modify the final outcome. For the next project, my theme remains the 1980s. In the previous three projects, I did various forms of comparison in the 1980s and 2020s (bookmark design, app design, and poster design) I think I should do some more innovation in the next project. I think the previous three projects pay more attention to design and plane. I think I should focus on the interaction with the audience in this new project. I plan to design an interactive toy (like the phone in the 1980s) From 0 to 9, when people press one of those Numbers, they get a different version of the 80s (music, video, or pattern) I think this is a great challenge for me, and I will do more research and try. Today, I will continue to design 2 apps. Today, I added some lyrics of the 1980s top songs. I think it's more plugged in, and when people see the lyrics and they can even sing them, they may recall the experience. At the same time, I made a design of the dialogue box for the lyrics, using the vintage style, the colors popular in the 1980s (red, green, purple, yellow, etc.) to make it more visual. Today, I started to do the final outcome according to some inspirational pictures from the draft app design and research last week. I used to cut off some things from the photos of the research 1980s or some drawings I hand-painted on the ai to have the characteristics of the 1980s through my design. Finally，I designed two pieces of app design for the 1980s design and color matching today. And can optionally put these graphics on the T-shirt. I think it's interesting.

Today, I continue to do some research according to last week's draft. Because some specific ideas, so can search more specific. For example, Google T-shirt diy. Searching for app design on pinterest, many graphic patterns and ideas appear. I think it can be my inspiration.

I tried to do the poster and final drat app design today. During this period, I encountered many problems. As for inspiration, I went to Google and pinterest to find some inspiration for app design. Combined with my 1980 designs (classic color schemes such as red, green, yellow, orange, graphics, classic objects such as tapes, radios, and lyrics to songs I collected during the 1980s such as "Whisper" and "Like a Virgin")The app I designed was free to choose patterns on t-shirts, creating their own unique t-shirts with elements from the 1980s. In poster's design, I mainly put shapes, lyrics and t-shirts on. I also added punctuation in the background, which I think is more visual.

Today I tried to make the design for the app draft by adding the shapes of the 1980s (shapes, objects of the time，popular lyrics and classic colors of the time) and selectively adding them to t-shirts. Finally, a total of four app designs were made. I think we can add some more elements, it's not visualized yet so I think we can improve it tomorrow. I also drew and added collages on sketchbook today.

Today, I continued to add some of my ideas on sketchbook.For example, color matching and shapes.Then I drew a draft on the ai. After trying to design the app on ai, I encountered many problems such as how to visualize the design of graphics and text. I don't think I can solve it at present, so I need more research and thinking. I hope I can have new ideas tomorrow. And I'm going to call this project the 1980s, because the elements are from the 1980s and the 2020 app. I plan to complete this project in two weeks, and have enough time to do this app design and research, because this is the first time to contact app design.

Today is tutorial day. My tutor and I Shared my ideas for the next project. I have two ideas: make the timeline from 1980 to 2020; I prefer the story of the 80s prison, so I need more research on the traditional customs and prisons of the 80s. I will also try to develop this project through research and my own thinking to make it more interesting.

This morning, we showed the outcome of our shape shaing project, and also watched other students who made a book binding, a video and a poster, all of which were very interesting and expressed their ideas. In the afternoon we started Basic printmaking, and I designed four storyboards with six COINS, wire and boards. It tells the story of the coin and his friend. Finally, print them out. I think this print is very interesting, but I think the plot of my story does not use much materials, and the visual effect is not so good, I will improve it in the future.

In class today, we made the presentation of the whole class, and everyone introduced the form and purpose of the project and so on. I think it's interesting to make an installation, and I think poster is very visual. My project "Have you finished today? 

It's like an x large post-it note all over the wall with strong color. The text on the notes reminds  people of things they do every day（ Do u make money？Do u repay？Do u finish ur work？Do u eat？ Do u falling in love？）The purpose of this project is to remind people to do something. Tomorrow I will go to the location（ csm school gate）to test.

This day is our free day. The assignment was to paint the famous buildings of London. I chose Big Ben and tower bridge. London tower bridge is required to be painted by the leader. Another I chose Big Ben, because I think it is a landmark of London, it is a classic and attracts a lot of tourists.In the end, I simply drew these two buildings on my sketchbook in the form of hand-drawing.

Today my group and I went to the British museum. The task is to choose one of the five or so photos you like and say why.

First we went to the French history museum and I took some pictures of lions and marble sculptures. The reason I take them is because they're fun to look at. Then I went to the Egypt pavilion, because Egypt has a long history, I hope to see and find more things. There are a lot of early vessels and tombs that show how people lived at that time. Finally went to the China pavilion, have carved gilt - wood wall panel and maitreya I am a Chinese I know Chinese customs better so I can better understand these cultural relics. Finally， I chosed the maitreya Buddha I like most is a traditional Chinese god, which also means happy every day and represents people's life attitude at that time. This statue is also exquisitely made. 

Today is the day of my group member ZiHan lead.The subject of her project is sleep (childhood and present), and she interviewed us about her sleeping habits as a child and now.She asked me about my sleeping habits as a child. I used to sleep with my mother before I went to primary school. The theme of my project is "Did you know the 1980s?" Then I decided to go to Brick lane vintage market in east London with my team members. Since most people around me do not know about the 1980s, I chose vintage market. I think more people there know and like the previous culture, and I can interview people there. After coming to the market, my team members and I first observed the whole environment (there were vintage clothes, vintage accessories, vinyl records and so on).The purpose of my interview was to find the 1980s icons (stars, movies, cultural customs and music) from 1980 around world. First I interviewed a vintage store owner who told me about models and singers (Naomi, Linda Evangiista and Madonna Ciccone) The second interviewer, a woman who sells vintage accessories, introduced some famous singers（ Cyndi Lauper, Diana Ross） from the 1980s.The third was a Chinese, and I asked her about the celebrities and customs of the 1980s in China. I finished the specific Project proposal in class today. I discussed the specific timetable with the team members, and conducted tutorial with the tutor. I discussed my ideas on "Did you know 1980? In this project, I also demonstrated my research and the specific progress, and showed the form of final outcome to my tutor for discussion. I will also improve my project according to tutor's Suggestions.
