Interact Reflection 06/11/2019

During the class,I was very interested in Niantic Labs,a game design team. Pokemon Go is an augmented reality mobile game developed by Niantic Labs,an American software development company based in San Francisco. Because I'm also a fan of the game.

Niantic Labs wrote: "with this new partnership,we will provide a unique exploration and fun mix for a larger customer base. In the games they develop and design,you can really feel field trip and fun. I also wanted to make them interesting by putting unique design elements into my work.

I found that interaction was added into the design to make the interaction between artwork and audience more,when people looked more interesting. Secondly,the artwork is 3d or 4d,which can be visualized.

I think the task in today's class let me learn how to design artwork can have more interaction with the audience. You can use apps to design physical interactions like pokemon GO. It also looks interesting. I think in the production of artwork on Thursday,my partner and I plan to shoot a video. I think we can improve the interaction with the audience.

In 2018,I saw an exhibition by a Chinese artist (Xubing)in Beijing,China. I'm interested in one of his devices and I think it has a variety of interactions with the author at the same time. The device is called the tobacco project. It's a tiger rug made from more than half a million cigarettes. The artist tries to explore the long and tangled relationship between tobacco and human beings and reflect on the problems and weaknesses of human beings. And at the same time in the scene can be very good visual effect and can taste tobacco flavor,interactive. I think I can learn something about interactivity and visuality as well as social and human problems from his works

I recently watched the famous British sculptor (Antony Gormley)at the Royal Academy of Arts. One installation,"Body and Fruit" (1991-1993),features two hanging,peach-like spheres. The artist curled up in a fetal position,then moulded it and cast it in iron. "Clearing VII" (2004-2010)consists of an 8km wire that spirals around and fills the room. "Matrix III" (2019)is a suspended mesh work made of steel bars and weighing up to 6 tons. Staring at it all the time can be disorienting,arousing viewers to think about their place in the world,both physically and psychologically. From his works,I can learn that the interactivity of artwork can be slightly exaggerated,as well as the social significance and value of the work.
